Dove Cameron Joins Disney Channels' 'Descendants'

Dove Cameron is the first actress to join Disney Channel‘s upcoming The Descendants.

Variety reports that the 17-year-old Liv and Maddie star will play Mal, the daughter of Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty.

Mal “is the ringleader of a group of teenage kids of famed Disney villains who wind up tangling with the good-hearted son”. The son is the offspring of Beauty and the Beast.

Others still to be cast: The prince in question, plus fellow villain children, Carlos, Evvie and Jay.
