On choosing TV over Broadway: “That was a difficult decision because my heart growing up was in the theater…but I always really wanted to do TV. I made the decision because I felt like I could always go back and go to New York.”
On the show: “What I love about the show is I think it’s real. All young girls have conflict with their friends. It really shows them the right way to work it out.”
On being a role model: “I think it’s important to portray a real person in real life. I’m definitely not perfect. I just want to send the message that your flaws are beautiful, too.”
