Shawn Mendes Says Being Called Influential is 'Incredible'

Shawn Mendes is all smiles while appearing on VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live for his week-long takeover on Tuesday (April 28) in New York City.

On the show, the 16-year-old singer performed “Never Be Alone” off his new album Handwritten and chatted about being named one of the most influential teens by Time magazine.

“I think especially when you are put into a position where you have that many followers and you have that big of a say, being named one of the most influential teens was just incredible, I mean just one of the best things to ever hear. I’m trying to be inspiring and trying to have good messages come across in my music so I mean that was a very important thing for me. And my fans are just incredible; they are so loyal and so caring. I can definitely say I have one of the best fan bases ever,” Shawn shared. Watch the video below!
