On doing Broadway: After Lion King, I felt like it was all acting all the time, which makes me miss music.
On The Fosters role: I think it kind of pushed me to write some more and work harder on my music.
On writing her own music: I can’t write about something I don’t know because then I won’t mean it when I sing it.
