The girls – Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Dinah Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei – opened up to the glossy about their upcoming new album and Camila‘s duet “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes.” Check it:

Dinah on how their upcoming album features songs that truly reflect who they are: “We want to share real stuff that’s been happening in our lives. Over the past year, we’ve experienced love and heartbreak, and it’s taken a toll on us. You can’t always show that you are confident because that’s not the truth.”

Camila on online backlash after releasing ‘IKWYDLS’: “It’s been so difficult to watch people criticize me and my intentions. It’s been sh-tty. They turned me [doing the song] into a conspiracy theory. We literally just wrote a song backstage, and it ended up becoming something awesome. It wasn’t a career move that I carefully planned out.”

Lauren on where she sees herself the next 10 years: “I don’t see us still doing this, but by then I hoped we’ll have toured the world and won a couple of Grammys for songs we are really passionate about.”
