Swimmer Missy Franklin Definitely Gets Frustrated After Meets Don't Go Her Way

Missy Franklin is all smiles in her official portrait for the upcoming 2016 Rio Summer Olympics during the Team USA Media Summit at The Beverly Hilton Hotel earlier this week in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 20-year-old competitive swimmer will be back in the pool for the upcoming games, which kick off in August.

Missy, who’s also pictured below at the Arena Pro Swim Series at Austin in January and at the Arena Pro Swim Series in Orlando late last week, opened up about getting frustrated after meets.

“I definitely don’t want to come off like everything is happy all the time,” she shared. “When I come back from some of these meets, I am for sure frustrated.”

Missy added, “I left there [the meet in January] being really frustrated. Why is this not coming through? Why is this not being shown when I’m racing? I think it’s important to let yourself feel like that. If you do kind of push those things aside and pretend they’re not there, it’s all going to come back and hit you when you don’t want it to.”
