'Once Upon A Time' Casts Deniz Akdeniz as Aladdin For Season 6

Deniz Akdeniz will take on the role of Aladdin on Once Upon A Time, it was revealed at 2016 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 23).

The 26-year-old actor, who you might recognize from Jessie (he charmed Debby Ryan in Rome), will play the street rat turned prince on the fantasy program, along with Oded Fehr as Jafar. We hope this means that Jasmine is on her way, too!

The upcoming season is “not going to be ‘Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then the winter finale he dies, we move on.’ We kind of changed around what we’re doing this year… going back to that season 1 mentality, with small town stories and smaller arcs. We’re planning a 22 episode story, as oppose to just kind of breaking it up into 2 parts,” creator/EP Edward Kitsis shared at ATX earlier in the year.
