Why Wasn't Gabby Douglas at the VMAs? She Suffered An Allergic Reaction

The reason why Gabby Douglas skipped the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards tonight has been revealed.

The four Final Five members who did make it out to the show — Aly Raisman, Madison Kocian, Laurie Hernandez, and Simone Biles — chatted with ET about their fifth missing member.

“She had an allergic reaction, but she’s doing okay,” Aly revealed. “Something was a little swollen on her face. They’re having her rest, just in case.”

Laurie added, “It’s a little bit swollen, but we hope she can get better soon because we wish she could be here with us.”

“She definitely wanted to be here,” Madison shared.

Earlier in the night, Gabby shared a pic from her room where she was resting after her hospital stay.
