'Modern Family' Episode Stars 8-Year-Old Transgender Actor Tomorrow!

In an awesome move for LGBT visibility, Modern Family casts an 8-year-old openly transgender actor in tomorrow’s episode.

According to IMDB, this is the first acting credit for Jackson Millarker, who will play Tom in the episode titled “A Stereotypical Day.”

Modern Family director Ryan Case introduced the world to Jackson on her Instagram. “[He] is one of the many reasons I love being part of this show,” she stated. Jesse Tyler Ferguson also couldn’t contain his excitement. “Super proud of this week’s episode of @ModernFam! #Equality #ModernFamily,” he Tweeted.
