Stiles' Real Name on 'Teen Wolf' Is Weird & Hard To Say

We’ve dreamt of the day that we’d hear Stiles’ real name on Teen Wolf…we just didn’t imagine it’d be so weird.

During last night’s episode, we see Sheriff Stilinski spend most of the episode trying to remember just about everything — that his wife is dead, and oh yea, he has a son!

“I have a son. His name is Mieczyslaw Stilinski,” he remembers when telling Scott all of it. Mieczyslaw? Really?

Here’s how you pronounce it: Mich-zy-slaw.

“A few years ago, I knew I would have to actually reveal Stiles’s name at some point,” showrunner Jeff Davis revealed about the name. “I was looking for a Polish name that was incredibly difficult to both spell and pronounce.”

He adds, “Mieczyslaw sounded like ‘mischief.’ It seemed like a perfect word to describe Stiles. Both as a mischievous child and equally misbehaved adult.”
