OlderGrammys Best New Artist Nom Kelsea Ballerini Doesn't Have A Clue Who Will Win!
Even Kelsea Ballerini says the Best New Artist category at the 2017 Grammy Awards is just too hard to pick a winner!
The country singer, who’s nominated with fellow country artist Maren Morris, The Chainsmokers, Chance the Rapper and R&B singer/songwriter Anderson.Paak, dished about her nomination and how she and Maren are sticking together.
“There’s never been two country artists in this category before,” Kelsea shares. “Let alone two female country artists. It’s really cool to kind of carry that torch with her.”
She adds that instead of turning into rivals, the two are not going that route at all.
“She texted me, right when they came out that morning, and she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re going to the Grammys!… We should get ready together,’” Kelsea said. “And I was like, ‘We have to bring the big hair and the glitter!’” she jokes.
She added about category as a whole: “Everyone in the category is actually truly really, really good. So I think it’s anyone’s game. It’s gonna be great!”
FYI: Kelsea is wearing an ASOS dress, Stuart Weitzman heels and an Emm Kuo clutch to the 2017 Billboard Power 100 event in Los Angeles on Thursday (February 9).
