Simones Biles Says Learning Her 'DWTS' Cha Cha Was 'Challenging'

Simone Biles may be the frontrunner on Dancing With the Stars this season, but she’s also very aware of how much work goes into every single routine.

The 20-year-old Olympian was surprised she did so well in the premiere episode.

“I was not expecting to get the highest scores of the night, but I was really happy with how we did the dance,” Simone wrote in her People blog. “It was one of the best runs of it that we’d done and the energy of the crowd helped so much.”

As for tonight’s dance, Simone wrote, “Getting ready for this week’s show has been very different than premiere week. Last week, I think I picked up the dance a little easier, but this week we have cha cha to Jessie J‘s ‘Burning Up’ and I’m finding it challenging.”

Dancing With the Stars airs TONIGHT, March 27 @ 8PM on ABC.
