Christina Grimmie Will Be Posthumously Honored at Humane Society's Impact Gala

This news about Christina Grimmie will make you cry and smile all at the same time.

The singer, who passed away last year, is going to be honored by the Humane Society with the Impact Award.

Christina‘s family will be on hand to accept the honor, for her devotion to protecting animals.

Just before Christina was killed, she and her fans won the $250,000 grand prize for the Humane Society of the United States in a “social giving” charity event.

And after she was shot, The Humane Society created the Christina Grimmie Animal Medical Fund, which provides veterinary attention and ongoing care for its most critical animal rescue cases.

“She didn’t just possess a beautiful voice � she was a beautiful soul who used her talents to spread a message that we humans should not mete out violence to animals. We will carry her message forward, despite the pain we feel,” Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the Humane Society said in a statement at the time.

The Humane Society of the United States Farm Animal Protection Gala will be held on April 22nd.
