Katy Perry Shows Support for Manchester During London Show (Video)
Katy Perry is not going to live in fear and she went ahead with a concert in London despite the attack in Manchester earlier this week.
The 32-year-old entertainer hit the stage at the Water Rats pub, the same place she made her UK debut ten years ago, on Thursday night (May 25) in London, England.
Katy took time to pay her respects to the victims of the attacks and send a message to the world.
“It was hard for you guys, I know that, it was hard for me, because we all love music,” Katy told the crowd (via Billboard). “We’re all listening to the same music. And you think about it and you think, ‘That’s my friend, that’s my sister, that’s my brother, that’s my cousin, that’s the person that loves music.’ It’s awful, it’s awful. It’s awful.”
“And whatever you can do to help, you should. If you can’t do anything, that’s fine. But what you should do is not let them win…. They can never take that part away from us ever, ever,” she added.
