We know the series finale of Pretty Little Liars will have us all in tears — and it looks like the cast were too!
Showrunner I. Marlene King and stars Shay Mitchell, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, and Sasha Pieterse recently sat down with EW and they all revealed that they cried like babies over just one line from the final episode.
“Was it the very first sentence that someone had to say something and we all just started crying?” Ashley shared, thinking it was at the beginning of the episode.
The line in question, is in the last ever scene, and turns out to be read by Alison:
“I feel like this is the end of something.”
Sasha shares, “”I couldn’t talk. Marlene was like, ‘Okay, that was great, but just a little less crying.’”
“We couldn’t even do it,” Ashley adds. “We almost weren’t able to even start the table read because it was just so heavy.”
The Pretty Little Liars‘ series finale will air on Tuesday, June 27th on Freeform.
