Supergirl's Melissa Benoist Visited 'Riverdale' In Her Super Suit & Now We Want a Crossover

Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has the internet freaking out right now.

Melissa Benoist, who plays Supergirl, popped over to the Riverdale set for a visit and the showrunner shared a pic of her in costume on the set while they were filming last night.

“Look who dropped in to #Riverdale for a visit! Worlds colliding!! Can a crossover be far behind??” he captioned — and now that he’s suggested it, we now need it.

While there’s no supernatural element to Riverdale right now, there’s no rule that says it couldn’t happen.

Superheroes have crossed into the realm of Archie comics — we mean, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is the prime example. So, a Supergirl cameo wouldn’t be unheard of.

Riverdale season 2 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
