Vanessa Morgan Teases That Toni Topaz Brings a 'Bit of Trouble' To Bughead on 'Riverdale'

Vanessa Morgan is here to bring some trouble — and honestly, we’re here for it.

The actress joined the second season of Riverdale as Toni Topaz, the only girl in the Southside Serpents gang, who is definitely there to welcome Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse).

“I stir it up a bit for Bughead,” Vanessa told Bustle over the weekend. “I’m part of Southside. I’m one of Jughead’s first friends… I bring a bit of trouble.”

She adds that Toni will be on the frontline when it comes to Bughead’s problems when the series returns, too.

“I’m the girl in the gang,” Vanessa adds. “My character is badass, and Jughead is the son of the King Serpent… why wouldn’t I [welcome] him?”

Riverdale returns on Wednesday, October 11th on The CW.
