Sabrina Carpenter Doesn't Like to Watch Herself Singing or Acting

Sabrina Carpenter may work in the entertainment business, but she still isn’t a fan of watching herself on TV.

In a new interview, Elvis Duran asks Sab if he can play back a (gorgeous) sound byte of her singing “New Rules” by Dua Lipa.

“Will it bother you?” Elvis asks.

“Yes,” she immediately answers. She eventually gives him permission — but she isn’t happy about it.

“It’s the same with television,” Sabrina continues. “I don’t like to watch myself…especially with other people.”

She actually has that particular trait in common with Maddie Ziegler.

When asked if she picks herself apart on-screen, Sab deadpans: “I just find out more and more that I hate myself every day,” before bursting out laughing. “That was a joke.”

“I’m glad you enjoy [hearing me sing.] It makes me happy. I just don’t wanna hear it.”
