While most would think that it’s your run of the mill, standard breakup song — that’s exactly what it isn’t.

A fan theory that popped on social media today proposed that the song wasn’t about a normal breakup with a significant other, but with herself — and Demi confirmed it!

“If the song is about her old self then it is literally ten times even better and more impactful,” the theory says.
