Ariel Winter Says Her Mom Made Her View Other Girls as 'Competition'

Ariel Winter is opening up about her estranged relationship with her mother Crystal Workman and how her mom wouldn’t let her be friends with other girls at a young age.

The Modern Family actress, now 19, says her mother’s reasoning was “because females are competition – that’s how some people see it.”

Ariel also said her mom made her dress inappropriately as young as age seven. She recalls being dressed in “the smallest miniskirts, sailor suits, low-cut things, the shortest dresses you’ve ever seen. People thought I was 24 when I was 12. If there was going to be a nude scene when I was that age, my mother would have a thousand percent said yes.”
