Taylor Swift & Kelsea Ballerini Were Texting Before iHeartRadio Music Festival

Kelsea Ballerini is revealing what she and Taylor Swift were talking about this weekend.

The country/pop singer opened up about their friendship while speaking to Billboard at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena on Friday (September 22) in Las Vegas.

Kelsea and Taylor are both releasing their upcoming albums one week apart – Kelsea will drop Unapologetically on November 3, and Taylor will release her highly anticipated Reputation on November 10.

“Yes, [we've talked about this] a lot,” Kelsea smiled. “I love her.”

“I was texting with her today,” Kelsea continued. “She was talking to me about ‘High School‘ ’cause I just put it out. … She’s amazing and she’s supportive. We’re obviously in different genres now, but we’re both songwriters at heart, and we root each other on.”

As for the best advice Tay has given her, Kelsea shared, “She’s just really good at just like being yourself. That’s always been her advice – go with your gut, go with your heart. Follow that and not anything else.”

“She’s the biggest superstar in the whole world so I’m excited to hear her record,” Kelsea added. “I’m stoked.”
