DWTS' Jenna Johnson Shatters This Pre-Conceived Thought About Dancers

When you watch Dancing With the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance, or any other dance show, you tend to think that all the dancers have this confidence that you can’t even imagine of achieving.

However, you’d be wrong — take it from Jenna Johnson, who’s been on both shows.

Speaking with Bella New York magazine, Jenna opened up about the stigmas that dancers face and confidence is one of them. Not all dancers have the same confidence levels.

“I think people automatically assume that as dancers we have insane amounts of confidence,” she states. “Maybe because on camera we exude that type of energy, but if you were to meet us in real life it would be very different.”

Jenna adds, “Unless you know me well, I tend to be very introverted and shy. I have mounds of self confidence issues. Fortunately, I’ve been able to use dance as a way to break out of my shell.

“It’s always been my safe-place and where I have felt my most confident and free.”
