Millie Bobby Brown Reveals She Is Deaf in One Ear

Millie Bobby Brown just revealed something about herself that not many of us knew — she’s deaf in one ear.

In her cover story with Variety, the Stranger Things star opened up about losing her hearing in one of her ears.

Millie explained that she was actually born with a partial loss of hearing in one of her ears, and after years of tubes, her hearing completely faded away on that side.

However, that didn’t hold her back one bit and you can see that in Stranger Things, where her character Eleven doesn’t talk much.

“You can talk with your face,” Millie says. “It’s very easy for someone to say, ‘I’m mad. I’m sad. I’m angry.’ I have to just do it with my face.”

In fact, her hearing loss doesn’t stop her from a lot of things, like singing.

“I just started to sing, and if I sound bad, I don’t care, because I’m just doing what I love,” she shared. “You don’t have to be good at singing. You don’t have to be good at dancing or acting. If you like to do it, if you genuinely enjoy doing it, then do it. No one should stop you.”
