'Marvel�s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Bosses Tease Dove Cameron's Super Secret Role

Earlier this week, Dove Cameron spilled her second big announcement that she was joining Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — but what she didn’t say is just WHO she would be playing.

EW spoke to executive producers Jed Whedon and Jeff Bell about the super secret role, and even their lips are tightly sealed.

“Who Dove is playing is a wait and see,” Jed shared. “All I can say is we were looking at different people and she surprised us. The role she’s playing, she’s not an obvious fit for.”

Jeff adds, “But she came in and nailed it.”

“She’s perfect for the role,” Jed says. “So we’re excited about it.”

Hmmm…. now this makes us wonder even more!

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for season 5 with a two-hour premiere THIS Friday @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
