Chandler Kinney Continues Giving Back & Reveals The Impact of 'Chandler's Friends' In JJJ Guest Blog (Exclusive)

Chandler Kinney is opening up her big heart for another year with Chandler’s Friends.

Over the weekend, the Lethal Weapon actress invited her friends and family to participate in a toy drive and wrapping party — and everyone came out!

Just like last year, Chandler wrote a very special blog about her organization.

From a very young age, I was taught the importance of philanthropy and becoming involved within your community. And with all that is happening today in our world, I believe that it is crucial to do the work that we can, when we can, where we can. Chandler’s Friends is an organization my mom and I created about 3 years ago.

We started very small as we would donate handmade blankets to foster children. And with my personal growth, along with developing wonderful relationships and gaining resources, we have now been able to give back on a much larger scale.

With the help of my lovely cast mates and crew members of my show Lethal Weapon, the Los Angeles Ballet Academy who donated the venue, in addition to the generosity from the over 200 people who attended, Chandler’s Friends had a very successful Toy Drive and Wrapping event this year!

We’ll personally be donating the toys to a beautiful little elementary school who could use a little help for the holiday season!

I think charity work has a reputation of being very difficult to accomplish. Understandably, the task of actually changing people’s lives for the better can be overwhelming or seem unachievable.

Chandler’s Friends was once just a dream. Honestly, at the beginning of my journey, I was a bit discouraged at the enormity of work that needs to be done. But I figured, “you can never achieve something you never start.” I’m glad I started somewhere because it brought me to where I am today.
