Lily Collins & Ellie Bamber To Star in New Version of 'Les Miserables'

A new version of the classic story of Les Miserables is in the works, though this one will not feature music like the 2012 film!

Lily Collins is set to play Fantine in the upcoming six-part mini-series for the BBC, while Ellie Bamber will play the adult version of her daughter Cosette.

The story will follow “French convict Jean Valjean (Dominic West) and his struggles to escape his past while being hunted for years over a parole violation by Inspector Javert (David Oyelowo), set against the backdrop of the uprising of 1832,” according to Variety.

You probably recognize Ellie from starring in Shawn Mendes‘ music video for “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.”
