Adam Rippon is stepping back on the ice tonight and JJJ is 167890234% here for it!
The Olympic figure skater got to chat with press in a conference earlier this week about the men’s short program, which will air @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC tonight, before opening up about how it was to be in the spotlight right now.
“The other day I was joking to one of my friends. He was like, ‘you’re kind of everywhere right now.’ I was like, ‘I know, I’m America’s sweetheart,'” Adam shared. “He laughed in my face.”
He adds, “I think what you think of as the American people embracing — I don’t think, on paper, I embody anything of that perceived persona. I think that’s what people are latching on to, that I’m different.”
