Here's How Dove Cameron's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' Character Is Connected to 'Black Panther'

One thing is for certain about Dove Cameron‘s Ruby on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — she has a wicked costume for her villainous side.

But one thing you probably wouldn’t know is that she’s directly connected to Black Panther.

“Ruby is very intimidating, but she’s a true wildcard,” Dove shared with Clevver about her on-screen character. “She’s a dark character, I don’t want to call her a villain because I don’t believe in villains, but she’s definitely not a good character.”

So, how is Ruby connected to Black Panther? It’s all about that suit — and her weapon of choice.

“The weapons that the Wakandan Special Force uses in Black Panther that looks like a frisbee is also what my character uses on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” she revealed.

“It’s called a chakram and is made from Vibranium, which is the metal that Captain America’s shield is made out of.”
