Hope Will Get Help From Freya With Her Powers on 'The Originals'

One of the biggest takeaways from the first trailer for The Originals‘ final season was Hope’s (Danielle Rose Russell) explosive powers we all saw for a split second.

Thankfully, she’s going to have Aunt Freya (Riley Voelkel) there to help her out with those a bit.

“Freya’s going to have a really important role with Hope early in the season as Freya becomes concerned,” showrunner Julie Plec shared with EW. “When Freya was a teenager, she didn’t have control over her own power and really bad things would happen when she got worked up.”

Julie adds, “She recognizes that same jeopardy in Hope’s emotional state. Hope feels out of control, so she’s trying to help her learn how to control that.”

The Originals is back on Wednesday, April 18th on The CW.
