Kelsea Ballerini Got a Sign From Kelly Clarkson To Become a Musician

Kelsea Ballerini could’ve been many things in life, but music was her only true passion.

However, just before she was about to take the leap and move to Nashville, she got one more nudge to go for it – from Kelly Clarkson!

Talking with Buzzfeed, Kelsea revealed that she was just 14 when she went to Kelly‘s Behind These Hazel Eyes tour and that’s where the sign came from.

“She had these two massive screens of her eyes above the stage, and so depending on the song they would cry or blink or wink or whatever,” Kelsea remembers. “It was right when I thought I was gonna move to Nashville and be a singer, so I was super into it, and I remember I was watching her sing one of these songs and I was having a moment of like, that’s exactly what I’m gonna do with my life, this is it.”

She adds, “I looked up and the eyes winked. And I was like, ‘Kelly Clarkson just told me that I have to be an artist’. I swear, true story.”
