Selena Gomez's Undercut Was A 'Snap' Decision, Her Stylist Says

Earlier this week, Selena Gomez debuted a cool undercut on her Instagram which definitely surprised fans – and it even surprised hairstylist, Tim Dueñas, too.

Speaking with Page Six, Tim opened up about the 25-year-old singer’s “snap” decision to change up her look just a little bit.

“I asked her, ‘Well, how long have you been debating it?’” he shared. “And she said, ‘[Since] last night!’ She was like, ‘When I want to go for something, I do it.’ I think she just wanted a change.”

While the cut only took about 10 minutes to do, the grow-back period is about a year.

Tim also explained why he shaved Selena‘s hair in a triangular shape: “With those low corners, you can’t even tell [the undercut] is there. It leaves her with a lot more versatility in how to wear her hair; she can wear it down, she can do a ponytail. You kind of have to think about all the options for her!”
