Louis Tomlinson Talks His Decision On Becoming an X Factor Judge

Louis Tomlinson made it official this morning with becoming a judge on the upcoming season of X Factor.

While many fans were excited for the 26-year-old musician’s new role, some were not, and he just shared a video explaining his reason behind his new gig.

“The album is still my number one priority and this doesn’t change any release times,” he says. “I thought that coming from the show, it made a lot of sense for me to go on.”

Louis adds, “I’ve always been interested in mentoring and that’s why in the past I’ve done things with my imprint label. This is something that’s been on my mind for a number of years now.”

Louis competed on the show with One Direction back in 2010. They finished in third place and went on to become one of the biggest bands in the world.
