Loren Gray Talks About Future Music & Why 'My Story' Was The Perfect First Single For Her

It’s just been two months since Loren Gray dropped her debut single “My Story”.

Now, the 16-year-old singer is opening up about the song, future music and more in a new interview with Idolator.

“I realized early on that my fans are pretty young. ‘My Story’ is quite a young song and I think it’s a good introduction because I have something to grow from,” Loren says of the song. “And it’s catchy, cute and fun. But I’m definitely gonna transition. It was a good starting point.”

She also opened up about when we can expect her next single. Spoiler: it’s really soon!

“Right now, I’m kind of focusing on singles. And once I have a few more singles out and I know what my sound is gonna be, then I’m definitely looking into an EP,” she shared. “I just want to make sure it’s something I’m proud of so, I’m not rushing into it.”

Loren adds that the next song might be released “later this month. It’s very exciting and it’s very different. It’s a big leap from ‘My Story,’ but I think it’s a good leap. It’s a bit more rhythmic.”
