Laura & Vanessa Marano Produced Movie 'Saving Zoe' Will Be Out in 2019

Laura and Vanessa Marano‘s movie, Saving Zoe, is finally getting closer to us!

THR reports that the film, based on Alyson Noel‘s novel of the same name, has been picked up by Blue Fox Entertainment for worldwide sales rights and domestic distribution rights.

Starring the two sisters, plus Giorgia Whigham, Ken Jeong, Michael Provost and Nathaniel Buzolic, centers on a teenage girl as she looks to discover the truth behind her sister’s murder in a story that hopes to bring to light how prevalent sex crimes and trafficking are online.

The plan is for a 2019 theatrical release.

“When we optioned Alyson Noel’s book Saving Zoe ten years ago, we did it because as a mother, as a daughter, as a sister, and as women, we were incredibly moved by a powerful story. Now, a decade later, that same powerful story seems to be more relevant than ever,” Vanessa and Laura, along with mom and producer Ellen shared in a statement.

They added, “We are ecstatic that Blue Fox was as moved today as we were all those years ago and are thrilled to be working with them. Together, we hope to share a film that we couldn’t be more proud of with the world.”

We can’t wait for this film to be out!
