Luke Benward's Favorite Disney Role Was Turned Into A Movie With A Totally Different Cast!

Luke Benward was been in so many Disney projects that it’s really hard to keep count of them all.

But, the 23-year-old actor just revealed his favorite role of them all and it’s going to shock you – it was Zed, from an unaired pilot called Zombies and Cheerleaders. Sound familiar? It should!

“No one ever saw it because it was a pilot,” Luke shared with Teen Vogue about the project, which was recently turned in the DCOM, Zombies.

He adds, “It was originally a very whimsical and cool pilot. It was directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, who right before that did a Harold and Kumar Christmas movie. So he was very eccentric and like, not on the Disney brand. It was a musical and it was called Zombies and Cheerleaders.”

Luke was slated to play the role of Zed, which was played by Milo Manheim in the movie version.

“I played Zed, the guy, and it was this whole Ferris Bueller thing where I kind of wake up and I’m talking to the camera and walking the audience through the opening song and introducing everyone. It was just a really different show for Disney that I was really proud of.”

We need to see this unaired pilot now!
