Hailee Steinfeld Has Been Cast as the Lead in the New Rom-Com 'Voicemails for Isabelle'

Hailee Steinfeld is a rom-com leading lady!

The 22-year-old actress will star in the upcoming Voicemails for Isabelle, a romantic comedy that has been preemptively picked up by Sony.

Not much is known about the film, but the THR says it’s being described as “a rom-com for the 21st century centering on a young woman navigating the dating scene in Los Angeles.”

The script was written by Leah McKendrick and Sharon Maguire, the director of Bridget Jones’ Diary and Bridget Jones’ Baby, is reportedly in negotiations to direct.

Hailee most recently starred in the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee. She also voiced Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
