Liam Hemsworth is officially speaking out about his split from Miley Cyrus.
The 29-year-old actor took to his Instagram to share a photo of a sunset and release a statement about couple’s separation.
“Hi all, Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” Liam wrote.
He continued, “This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.”
Liam‘s statement indicates that a previously released quote is untrue.
Over the weekend, a rep for Miley announced the news about the couple’s separation. The couple met back in 2009 and dated on and off before tying the knot in December of 2018.
