Spanish Princesses Leonor & Sofia Visit Their Grandfather in the Hospital

Princess Leonor arrives with her family at the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday afternoon (August 28).

The 13-year-old Princess of Asturias joined her younger sister, Infanta Sofia and parents King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, to visit King Juan Carlos, who had heart surgery earlier in the week.

Leonor and Sofia spoke to some press outside of the hospital after visiting with the former King, and revealed they brought him a gift.

Sofia shared that it was a personal item, “a card.”
