AJ Mitchell Talks About His Upcoming Album & Debuts New Song 'Say It Again' - Listen Here!

AJ Mitchell has just dropped a brand new song, “Say It Again”!

The 18-year-old musician caught up with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 to talk about the single.

“I’m so happy to be just consistently releasing music. It just feels so good to be able to just release it,” AJ shared. “I mean honestly in the beginning when I was a kid, I actually never wanted to be like in the spotlight. I always enjoying like making music and writing music, but I was like, ‘You know what? I want to give my songs to other people. I don’t want to be in the spotlight.’”

He continues, “Once I started doing it more and once I started performing and doing it in front of people, it made me realize, you know what? I can do this.”

AJ also spoke about his upcoming album.

“We have the album done, we have it finished. It’s just comes down to mixing and mastering it all,” he says. “For this album, it’s pretty much just letting everyone in the would know who I am, where I came from. And I think that’s very important with releasing music, is it’s really important for people to understand who you are because if people don’t know who you are, then I don’t think people quite get to music.”

AJ adds, “Tthis album, this is who I am, this is where I came from and this is music that I love. This is music that I would…I write music towards music that I want to listen to. So this is who I am.”
