Disney+ Brings In Over 10 Million Sign Ups Since Launching Yesterday

Disney+ was a major success!

The new streaming service from Disney has hit 10 million sign ups since the launch yesterday, November 12th, according to multiple reports.

Apptopia is reporting (via Variety) that “the Disney Plus mobile app for iOS and Android was downloaded 3.2 million times.”

Customers did experience some technical difficulties logging in earlier in the day, and Disney revealed that it was because so many people were logging in at the same time, with their systems becoming overloaded.

Apptopia also reported that “Disney Plus users worldwide collectively spent 1.3 million hours streaming the service in the first 24 hours”, which is more than the total viewing through Amazon Prime Video and Roku apps in the three countries where Disney Plus is available.

At the moment, Disney+ offers over 500 films and 7,500 episodes of television, including the new Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and the entire The Simpsons library.
