Garth Brooks 'Gave' Kelsea Ballerini The Best Award at the CMA Awards
Kelsea Ballerini strums her guitar while performing on stage at the 2019 CMA Awards held at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (November 13) in Nashville, Tenn.
The 26-year-old singer sang her song “homecoming queen?” with just her guitar before transitioning into the first part of Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush” with Lindsay Ell.
During the ceremony, Garth Brooks was awarded Entertainer of the Year, and in his acceptance speech, he singled out Kelsea and her performance.
“Kelsea Ballerini. If you want to know what an entertainer is, take a guitar and just a single voice in the middle of an arena, and shrink a room… Fantastic performance tonight. Really great,” he said.
“this is my award. thank you, @garthbrooks ❤️,” Kelsea captioned a video of the moment. Watch it HERE!
