Shay Mitchell Gifts Beis Luggage Stuffed With Necessities To Foster Kids Headed To College

It’s all about giving back for Shay Mitchell this holiday season.

Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old actress, new mom, and entrepreneur revealed a special project that her company Beis has been working on with First Star Academies.

“One of my big priorities with @beis is to bring more good into the world, and this past weekend we got to do exactly that,” Shay shared with pics of over 75 bags on her feed. “In the summer, I learned that most kids within the foster care system move their stuff from home to home in garbage bags, and was immediately moved to help that problem, even for just some kids as a way to bring awareness to this issue that really struck me.”

She continues, “We were lucky enough to find and develop a partnership with non-profit organization, @FirstStarAcademies to surprise 75 of their scholars during their annual holiday party. First Star Scholars are teens living in the foster care system who are imminently transitioning into college.”

“To help with their transition, and to make sure they have something of their own to move with, @beis provided suitcases for all, generously stuffed with product from partner brands @dormify @bioreus @champion @diffeyewear @outofthewoodsbags @yoobi all product to help these hardworking kids as they enter the world of higher education.”

Shay added, “Sometimes it’s nice to have a reminder of what this season is truly all about.”
