There’s a big anniversary in the YouTube world TODAY (April 23)!

The day marks 15 years since the very first video was uploaded onto the platform.

The first video is titled “Me at the zoo”, and was uploaded by user jawed, who now is verified and has just less than 800k subscribers. The clip also boasts more than 90 million views, and is the only video on the channel.

YouTube has made quite a few waves since this video was first uploaded. The platform has helped launch the careers of many and made way for a new type of celebrity.
