Spain's Princess Leonor Helps Sister Sofia Walk After She Injures Her Knee During Royal Visit
Infanta Sofia leans on sister Leonor, Princess of Asturias while walking around the historic town of Petra in Mallorca, Spain on Monday afternoon (August 10).
The two royal sisters had joined their parents – King Felipe and Queen Letizia – for an official visit before kicking off their summer holiday on the island.
Sofia is said to have injured her knee after arriving at Marivent Palace and is using a crutch to walk. She was seen leaning on Leonor while heading to a museum for a day trip.
The family stopped to visit the birthplace of Franciscan monk, Fray Junipero Serra, who was born in the town in the 18th century.
Felipe, Letizia, Leonor and Sofia took a small tour of his birthplace before moving on to the museum, which tells the story of the life of Junipero Serra and his travels in California, spreading Christianity.
Most recently, Leonor and Sofia stepped out to honor COVID-19 coronavirus victims in Madrid. You can see the pics here…
