Tom Holland's Movie 'Cherry' Moving to AppleTV+ & He's Reportedly Being Eyed For 'G.I. Joe' Film

Tom Holland‘s upcoming film Cherry is making it’s way to AppleTV+!

The 24-year-old actor’s movie was directed by Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and was sold to Apple Original Films for over $40 million, according to Deadline.

Tom stars as a young Cleveland man who, after being spurned by the love of his life, joins the army before she returns to tell him she has made a mistake and they belong together.

He becomes an Army medic in Iraq and sees violence and carnage no one should. Returning with a raging case of undiagnosed PTSD, he is prescribed the opiate Oxycontin. Soon, he and his young wife move from pills to heroin, and he turns to robbing banks to pay their debts and feed their habit.

The movie also stars Ciara Bravo as his wife, and was filmed last October in Cleveland, Ohio.

In other Tom news, according to entertainment insider Daniel Richtman, Tom and John Cena are being cast in a new G.I. Joe film in the two lead roles. He shared the news on his Patreon account. No official confirmation has been announced at this time.
