Elizabeth Gillies Confirms She Wasn't At BFF Ariana Grande's Wedding, Here's Why

Elizabeth Gillies is dishing on not making it to her best friend Ariana Grande‘s wedding earlier this year.

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, the 27-year-old Dynasty star was asked about being on a list of people who were “probably” in attendance.

Liz confirmed that she did indeed not attend, and for very good reason…

She wasn’t able to go partly due to traveling and COVID restrictions, but also, she wouldn’t have been able to get off of work.

“I could not get off of work to go to her wedding because we would have to be cleared for like seven days to fly. So not only could I not tell anybody, but I also couldn’t even ask for the day off and I couldn’t get the day off,” she explained. “I would’ve been there.”

If you didn’t know, Ariana‘s May wedding to Dalton Gomez was in Montecito, Calif., and Elizabeth‘s CW series Dynasty films in Atlanta.

In fact, Ariana actually wasn’t able to attend Liz‘s wedding last September either. Liz had a very small, intimate wedding in New Jersey with just a few family members, in part because of the pandemic.

Elizabeth and Ariana have been friends for quite a few years. They both made their Broadway debuts together in the musical 13 in 2008, before then co-starring on the hit Nickelodeon series Victorious.
