Rachel Zegler & Ansel Elgort Star In New Special Look at 'West Side Story'

A special, exclusive new look for the upcoming West Side Story remake is here!

Disney’s 20th Century Studios debuted the video on Tuesday night (July 27), featuring stars Rachel Zegler and Ansel Elgort.

The 20-year-old rising star plays Maria Vasquez, while the 27-year-old portrays Tony in the new version, directed by Steven Spielberg.

West Side Story also stars Rita Moreno as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works. She actually played Anita in the 1961 film, the role that will be played by another rising star, Ariana DeBose, in the new film.

Mike Faist (Riff), David Alvarez (Bernardo), Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino), Ana Isabelle (Rosalía), Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank) and Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke), as well as Kyle Allen and Maddie Ziegler are in the cast as well.

If you missed it, it was recently revealed that West Side Story and In The Heights were filmed in the same area, at the same time!
