Camila Cabello Reveals What She Did Right Before First Date With Shawn Mendes Because of Nerves

Camila Cabello is opening up about her first date with Shawn Mendes!

“I swear to god, before Shawn and I’s first date, I was so nervous I took two tequila shots and sang ‘Defying Gravity’ in the shower, over and over,” Camila said.

James then asked her to set the scene and what led to her doing all of that.

“Okay, so Shawn and I have been talking for a couple weeks now, like, ‘Oh my god, I’m so excited to see you.’ Like, ‘I can’t wait to kiss you,’ all that stuff, you know what I mean?” she shared. “So obviously, there’s a lot of stakes, you know, before the first time. I’m like, oh my god, do I kiss him when I see him? I don’t know…”

“We already had the duet together. We were friends, but we weren’t together,” Camila continued. “So, he’s about to come over and I’m like so nervous I just like can’t take it. My dad is there, I’m like, ‘Pour me two tequila shots, just do it.’ And I just sang ‘Defying Gravity.’”

Camila also opened up about running lines for Cinderella with Shawn.

“We did run lines together, for a brief period,” she said. “Shawn was self-conscious running the lines with me, and he wasn’t even in the movie.”

“He’s probably more the Cinderella in our relationship than I am,” she added.
