Stefanie Scott stars as Carrie in the new show, which will be premiering on the Peacock streaming service.

The Girl In The Woods is about a mysterious door in the woods that leads to a terrifying monster dimension and is based off of the Crypt TV 2018 short The Door in the Woods and it’s sequel The Girl in the Woods.

Here’s a synopsis: In supernatural drama The Girl in the Woods, monsters are real, kept at bay behind a mysterious door in a cult-like colony. Teenage runaway Carrie’s job is to guard that door, but when strange occurrences begin to shake the sleepy mining town to its core, she must enlist the help of new friends Nolan and Tasha. The group becomes an unlikely trio of monster slayers, determined to save their loved ones. As they fight back, Nolan and Tasha can’t help but wonder…can they really trust Carrie? Small towns sure can be Hell.

The show also stars Misha Osherovich as Nolan, Sofia Bryant as Tasha, Will Yun Lee as Arthur Dean, Kylie Liya Page as Sara, Reed Diamond as Hosea and Leanord Roberts as Khalil.

Actress Krysten Ritter directed the first four episodes, while Jacob Chase directed the last four.

The Girl In The Woods will premiere all eight episodes on Thursday, October 21st on Peacock.
