Dakota Fanning is taking a break from filming her new series, Ripley!

The 27-year-old actress was seen meeting up with friends during a day off in Venice, Italy on Saturday (January 22).

Here’s a plot summary for the show: “Ripley centers on Tom Ripley, a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York. When Tom is hired by a wealthy businessman to travel to Italy and try to convince the man’s vagabond son to return home, his acceptance of the job ‘is the first step into a complex life of deceit.’”

Dakota plays Marge Sherwood, an American living in Italy who suspects that Tom’s affability hides darker motives. Ripley is expected to premiere later this year on Showtime.
